What we do

We provide various resources and services to help needy senior citizens:

Mental Health Circles

Our staff works tirelessly and around the clock to makes sure that senior citizens always have good mental health. We offer educational programs in our mental health circles informing the elderly about the importance of good mental health. Our circles empahsize the special problems that older people face and work towards meaningful solutions to overcome those issues and problems.

We focus on the following areas:

  • Anxiety
  • Behavioral and psychological dementia symptoms (BPSD).
  • Delirium
  • Depression
  • Mental health in long-term care.
  • Social isolation and loneliness.
  • Helping those at risk of suicide and preventing suicide.
  • Substance abuse and addiction
  • Aging healthily.

Our continued research regarding mental health in the elderly allows us to help senior citizens overcome challenging mental issues and problems healthily and safely.

Addiction

We offer a variety of services, reflecting our committment to upholding the government’s “4-pillars” approach to holistically resolve addiction.

  • Individual and family counseling–we offer individuals, couples, and family counseling with sessions held by licensed professional counselors (LPCs) to address and resolve psychological, social, and spiritual problems causing addiction.
  • Structured assessments–Our questionnaires and evaluation sessions with experienced, licensed, and trained professionals allows us to identify senior citizens who are at risk of or are battling addiction and substance abuse issues.
  • Case Management–Our case managers help senior citizens and their families navigate through the addiction and substance abuse system, find adequate support, and heal holistically.
  • Support Groups–Our specialized support groups–good examples are “Mens’ Clubs” and “Womens’ Support Groups” help the elderly rehab through social support and networks where they can safely resolve the issues causing their addiction and keep them from recurring.
  • Residential support–We treat the elderly in a residential setting and let them choose individual session counseling and support to battle and overcome addiction.

Community Connection Programs

Our community connection programs keep senior citizens socially integrated with local communities and larger Canadian society. Programs services help the elderly stay healthy, be happy, and live independently successfully through relationships with community resources, programs, and volunteers.

We integrate older people into the community through enjoyable, interactive, and meaningful events. Humble Hope’s programs help the elderly learn to navigate advanced technologies like the Internet and AI. We offer individual support and advocacy, meal services, and intergenerational interaction.

Our community connection programs help eligible elderly access social benefits and support programs. We also help them navigate through the maze that government regulations and programs often are. They can avail housekeeping and other in-home support services through our organizaiton as well.

Our financial literacy programs help senior citizens with budgeting, money management, and other financial literacy skills allowing them to remain living independently. We hold financial literacy seminars and workshops to accomplish those goals.

Health Care Programs

Our healthcare programs offer free healthcare for senior citizens, free transportation to clinics and hospitals for doctors’ and medical appointments, and many other services.

  • Community support and in-home–Our programs help senior citizens with daily activities like cooking, dressing, transportation, homemaking, nursing, and therapy.
  • Social and emotional support–We do regular checkups on senior citizens living alone to keep them socially engaged, give them a sense of purpose in life, and to help them stay in good health.
  • Support navigating the Canadian system–Our trained navigators help senior citizens and their families understand and apply for community and health resources that will dramatically improve the quality of their lives–especially if they have diabetes, heart issues, or other serious illnesses or complicated needs.
  • Caregiver support–We help caregivers for the elderly. Our support services include:
